Pentacon was engaged as the principal contractor for the construction of the Tailings Access Road between CHPP and the Tailings Cell with a connection road to Mine Affected Water Dam.

 

Project Scope of Works

  • Site management, environmental and erosion management, safety and quality management and traffic management.

  • CHPP and associated coal handling infrastructure

  • Stripping of topsoil

  • Earthworks Cut from CHPP Drain and Fill to Road Subgrade

  • Excavation and disposal on unsuitable material in and below confined excavations

  • Trimming and compaction of pavement subgrade

  • Import and place Road base

  • Trim Subbase

  • Install Road Signage

  • Construct RCBC Culverts

  • Construct 2 x CSP Culverts

Special Features

  • Bulk Earthworks – 18,039m³

  • Pavement – 2,350m³

  • Culverts – 3 x 6(1200x900x2440 RCBC)
