Alpha HPA is developing a High Purity Alumina (HPA) project to support the growing demand in the electric vehicle and battery production markets. The large-scale commercial plant has been constructed in Yarwun, Qld, Australia.

Project Scope of Works

• Establishment of Site Access and Site Facilities

• Removal of existing rubble, buried foundations and Unsuitable Material

• Clearing and Grubbing and Removal of Topsoil for Reuse on site

• Establishment and management of a Haul Road for Bulk Earthworks

• Establishment & Import of Select Fill from the nominated Borrow Location

• Bulk Earthworks Cut to Fill and Pavement Subgrade Preparation

• Road Pavement Construction

• Stormwater Drainage including outlets and Rock Protection

• Installation of new Sewer Mains including Manholes and Live Connection

• Construction of HDPE Trade Waste and Process Water Ponds

• Construction of Permanent Stormwater Detention Basin

• Landscaping, Respreading Topsoil Turfing and Seeding

• Construction of Concrete Sleeper and Sandstone Boulder Retaining Walls

• Collation of Quality Assurance Package and As Constructed Data

Special Features

• 20,000m3 cut to fill site won materials

• 75,000m3 of imported of Select Fill from the nominated Borrow Location

• External stormwater remediations to ensure positive downstream drainage.

• 250m of sleeper and post retaining wall with innovative outlets for storm water drainage outlets
